About the course:-
This course is offered by the Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance, London, United Kingdom (IIBI). The course will provide students with a deep understanding of Islamic Banking and Insurance operations, as well as its applications in the real field leading to an Islamic finance qualification.  Students will be awarded PGD certificate upon successfully completing the course which is accepted worldwide for further studies.

 Who should take this course?

This course is for those individual already holding bachelors degree in ay field and will like to pursue career in Islamic banking , insurance and fiance industry. Staffs, and professionals holding accounting, and fiance certificates, and already in the banking, insurance, and fiance industries are also qualified to enroll into this course.

Entry requirement:-

The minimum academic qualification to enter the Post Graduate Diploma program is a Bachelor’s degree (in any field), or Diploma in Islamic Banking. This course is for students who already possess an undergraduate degree or its equivalent in other disciplines and who would like to enter the Master’s degree in Islamic Finance program rather than the undergraduate degree program.  The course represent a prerequisite bridge certificate for joining the MAIF program.

Students holding PGD will be admitted into top up MA degree in Islamic Banking & Finance program at Mark field Institute of Higher Education UK. Students will have to take one module in research methodology, and complete dissertation in order to receive the award which can be completed within 6 months.

The course duration is 12 months with 8 modules as follows:

Module 1: Islamic Economics and Fiance

Module 2: Islamic Commercial law & Contract

Module 3: Islamic banking Operations

Module 4: Islamic Venture Capital, amd Finance Markets

Module 5: Corporate Governance, Regulations & Supervisions, and Financial Accounting for Islamic Banks

Modue 6: Takaful and Retakful

Module 7: Takaful and Retakaful Business

Module 8:  Takaful – Corporate Governance, Regulation, and Supervision

Course Fees:  The fees is  £1300. This fee is subsidized to make it affordable for students, and help develop the Industry in the region as part of worldwide Islamic Banking development support.
